iOS 10 Home Button Unlocking problem? Try this instead

Recently Apple has introduced a completely different approach to unlocking its device, with the iOS 10. It has altogether removed the ‘Slide to Unlock’ attribute and has come up with an entirely new way of unlocking its recent devices like iPhone 7.

The unlocking interaction on the iPhone 6, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus has totally been altered, with an innovative ‘Raise to Wake’ attribute. This feature enables the user to open the iPhone Home button by pressing a physical button. In iOS 9 phones could be unlocked by touching the Touch ID button, and it did not support any button press.

iPhone users are finding it hard to adapt to this modification in the unlocking feature. But worry not dear users, as there is an easy way to fix this issue and retrieve the iOS 9.

Just follow these simple sets to get your desire iOS 9

  1. Open the Settings and tap the General option.
  2. From here select Accessibility and search for the Home button option.
  3. Tap on the option.
  4. Activate the ‘Rest Finger to Open’ option.
  5. With this option selected, now Home Screen could be unlocked with the flick of a finger and Ta Da! you have won your iOS 9 back!

Although the innovation in the unlocking system with the introduction of ‘Raise to Wake’ feature is commendable but old habits take some time to die out and similarly the regular iPhone audience will take some time to get used to the improved feature. ‘Press to Unlock’ and ‘Raise to Wake’, nonetheless, bring comfort to the user of always seeing their notifications, on time.
